WFXT Boston To Add 4 P.M. Newscast

Cox-owned WFXT Boston (DMA 8) is set to launch Fox25 News at 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday, April 25. Elizabeth Hopkins and Blair Miller will co-anchor the weekday newscast with Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz. The additional hour of news gives WFXT a three-hour block of local news coverage from 4 to 7 p.m.

“The addition of Fox25 News at 4:00 p.m. is part of our long-term commitment to provide Boston-area viewers the most complete and in-depth local news, weather, traffic and sports coverage,” said Tom Raponi, WFXT VP-GM.

With the new broadcast, WFXT’s total hours of live newscasts will increase to 65 hours each week. Fox25 News at 4:00 p.m., along with all other WFXT newscasts, will be available on the FOX25 News App, NewsON, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. 

With the addition of Fox25 News at 4:00 p.m., Dr. Oz will now air weekday afternoons at 3 o’clock.
