Boston public media producer WGBH and members of the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians Local 18 union have completed collective bargaining and reached a new five-year contract agreement, both organizations said today.

The contract provides NABET employees “greater professional growth opportunities, and allows more operational flexibility and new production models for WGBH,” the station said.

WGBH NABET members are engineers who work on all television and radio productions doing shooting, editing, sound and lighting, and operate and maintain all broadcast equipment. NABET members voted Dec. 1 to accept the contract.
