WGN America Names Diederich SVP National Sales

WGN America today promoted David Diederich to the new role of SVP, national ad sales. 

In his newly expanded role, Diederich will oversee national ad sales for the burgeoning network, with national sales account executives and vice presidents now reporting directly to him.

Diederich, who is based in Los Angeles, will continue to report to David Rotem, EVP ad sales and marketing, who is based in New York.

In addition to managing the western regional office, Diederich’s elevated responsibilities include the business development of the network’s roster of national marketing partnerships.

Diederich joined WGN America’s ad sales team in 2004, and was elevated to positions of increasing responsibility, most recently to VP, ad sales and brand partnerships, Western region in 2015.

Prior to joining Tribune Media, Diederich was local sales manager at KCBS Los Angeles, after starting his career in local broadcast television in New York.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a B.S. in business economics.
