WHO Ups Jannay Towne To Weekend A.M. Anchor

Local TV-owned NBC affiliate WHO Des Moines, Iowa (DMA 72), on Tuesday promoted Jannay Towne to co-anchor of Today in Iowa Saturday and Sunday. She will continue reporting for WHO News at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.

Towne replaces Elizabeth Klinge who left Des Moines earlier this month. Towne begins her anchoring duties Saturday morning, Jan. 28 alongside veteran co-anchor Dan Winters and meteorologist Megan Salois.

Towne joined WHO in April 2005 as a reporter for Channel 13 News at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.

Previously, she was an anchor in Great Falls, Mont. Towne earned her broadcast journalism degree from the University of Montana.
