WHP Names Arthur Hasson General Manager

The former NBCU exec will oversee Sinclair’s Harrisburg, Pa., CBS affiliate as well as Nexstar’s WLYH.

Sinclair Broadcast Group’s CBS affiliate WHP Harrisburg, Pa. (DMA 43) today named Arthur Hasson general manager. He will also be responsible for oversight of Nexstar’s WLYH (CW), which is programmed by Sinclair under a time brokerage agreement. He succeeds Holly Steuart, who left earlier this month following Sinclair’s purchase of WHP.

Hasson most recently and from 2006 was principal-president of MultiPlatform Distribution Co., a producer and distributor of television programming. From 2009 to 2011, he was co-creator and executive producer of Crowd Sourced Hero and Subway High School Heroes, social entertainment programs and competitions.

Prior to that, Hasson was chief operating officer and co-founder of ClubCreate Inc., a music creation software and services company. From 1990 through 2005, he served in various roles at NBC Universal Television Distribution, including EVP cable, Canada and ancillary sales; EVP sales and new business; and various sales management roles.

Hasson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in experimental psychology from Binghamton University and a film/video production minor.

We did a lot of business with Arthur Hasson in the 90’s and he was a quality guy. Arthur was a great salesman and should be an excellent General Manager.
