Wiley Rein’s Media Practice Launches Law Blog

Washington-based law firm Wiley Rein’s Media Group has launched WileyonMedia, a blog highlighting the latest news and insights from the firm’s media attorneys.  Broadcast and multichannel video regulation, media transactions, program content, digital rights, journalism, employment, privacy, and happenings at the FCC, the Federal Trade Commission and on Capitol Hill are among the topics covered.

The Media Group is led by co-chairs James R.W. Bayes and Kathleen A. Kirby, with support from associates Kathryne C. Dickerson, Ari Meltzer and Henry R. Gola.

Wiley Rein Chairman Richard E. Wiley, the former FCC chairman who heads the firm’s communications practice, also will be a regular contributor to the blog. Wiley has been dubbed the “father of high-definition television” and was named among this year’s “Giants of Broadcasting” by the Library of American Broadcasting. His first post offers unique insight into the “Top Ten Issues” for new FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler.

Visitors can access the WileyonMedia blog directly to read the latest posts and sign-up to receive email updates. You can also follow the blog’s Twitter account.
