WJLA Hires Veteran Anchor Nancy Chen

Sinclair-owned ABC affiliate WJLA Washington is adding Nancy Chen to its ABC7 News desk beginning Monday, April 10.

Chen comes from WHDH Boston where she has been an anchor and reporter for the past five years.

Prior to covering news in Boston, Nancy worked in KSBY San Luis Obispo, Calif., and at KABC Los Angeles. She was involved in the production of NBC Sports coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and also served as a print reporter for the Tulsa World for three years. 

Chen earned a degree in international relations from the University of Southern California, where she attended as a trustee scholar on a full academic scholarship. She also studied Chinese at Peking University in Beijing.
