WJW Adds Rentrak StationView Essentials

Multi-screen media measurement firm Rentrak Corp. announced that announced that Local TV LLC’s Fox affiliate WJW Cleveland (DMA 18) has signed a long-term contract for Rentrak’s StationView Essentials service. With the addition of WJW, Rentrak now has three client stations in Cleveland; the others are WOIO (CBS) and WUAB (MNT).

“For the first time, Local TV has an opportunity to combine the predictive ratings information from Rentrak with the added benefit of actual automotive sales data from Polk Automotive. Our Cleveland station will benefit from Rentrak’s quantitative measurement as well as their superior qualitative automotive behavioral information which we fully expect to result in more effective selling and increased revenues,” said Bobby Lawrence, CEO, Local TV.

TV Essentials is a television ratings database currency that provides daily measurement of all U.S. TV networks in all 210 U.S. TV markets. The service incorporates data from more than 19 million satellite, telco and cable television sets and integrates it with product consumption information.
