WKYC Anchor Chris Tye Moving To Mornings

Chris Tye, current anchor of the Channel 3 News @ 7 pm on Gannett’s NBC affiliate WKYC Cleveland (DMA 18), will be shifting gears and changing the setting on his alarm clock. Beginning Monday, Jan. 16, Tye will be co-anchor of Channel 3 News Today, WKYC’s early morning newscast that begins at 4:30.

He joined WKYC in 2004. His writing and reporting have been honored by the Associated Press, the Michigan News Photographers Association and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and he has been honored five times by Gannett for his reporting and writing skills.

Tye is a graduate of Ohio’s John Carroll University graduate.
