WMAQ Chicago Adds Reporter Lauren Petty
Lauren Petty is joining NBC-owned WMAQ Chicago (DMA 3) as a general assignment reporter effective Jan. 30.
Petty comes to Chicago from WVIT, the NBC-owned station in Hartford, Conn., where she has worked for more than six years. She currently anchors weekend evening newscasts and reports during the week.
Prior to WVIT, Petty worked at WICD Champaign, Ill., and CNN International in London as a field producer and desk assistant.
Petty holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
