WNBC Names Staff For New 4 P.M. Newscast

NBC-owned WNBC New York (DMA 1) today announced that weekend anchor Natalie Pasquarella will co-anchor the station’s soon-to-be launched 4 p.m. newscast. Pasquarella will join previously announced co-anchor Stefan Holt and weather anchor Dave Price for the new newscast, which debuts on June 13.

Pasquarella has been a weekday reporter and weekend evening co-anchor for News 4 New York since last fall, following her arrival from WSOC Charlotte, N.C. At WSOC, Pasquarella co-anchored the station’s weekday 5:30 and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Holt, who will start at the station in mid-April, was named co-anchor of the new broadcast earlier this year. He joins the station from WMAQ, the NBC O&O in Chicago, where he co-anchored the station’s weekday morning and midday newscasts. Holt will report for the station in addition to his 4 p.m. anchor role.

Price currently serves is weather anchor for WNBC’s noon and 5:30 p.m. weekday broadcasts. He joined the station last fall.

In addition to the launch of the new 4 p.m. newscast, WNBC announced slight anchor changes to its other evening newscasts. At 5 p.m., David Ushery and Sibila Vargas will co-anchor, joined by chief meteorologist Janice Huff.

Pasquarella will join lead news anchor Chuck Scarborough as co-anchors of the 6 p.m. newscast, joined by Huff and sports anchor Bruce Beck. The 11 p.m. lineup of Scarborough, Vargas, Huff and Beck remains unchanged.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

With the launch of the NBC 4 New York’s 4 PM newscast, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which was previously renewed by the NBC Owned Stations through the summer of 2020, will move to 3 p.m.. The Steve Harvey Show will air at 2.
