WNBC Sees Rise In Macy’s Parade Viewing

WNBC New York’s Nov. 23 broadcast of the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade generated a 14.1 rating among adults 25-54 within the New York market, according to Nielsen. This was the highest parade rating since 2004, and reflects a year-over-year increase of 27%, according to the station.

Additionally, the parade generated 30,000 views on WNBC’s digital platforms.

“NBC’s excellent coverage of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has grown to new heights, both on air, and on-line. We are thrilled that so many viewers made NBC 4 New York part of their Thanksgiving Day tradition,” said Eric Lerner, WNBC president-GM.

WNBC will provide exclusive coverage of the 2017 Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting this Wednesday, Nov. 29, starting at 7 p.m.
