WNYW Adds ‘Dr. Raj’ As Medical Reporter

Roshini Rajapaksa, “Dr. Raj,” has joined Fox O&O WNYW New York (DMA 1) as a medical reporter.

Rajapaksa has served as a medical contributor for NBC’s Today Show and as contributing medical editor for Health magazine. She is the author of What the Yuck?! The Freaky & Fabulous Truth About Your Body. She has also published several research articles on colon cancer screening.

Rajapaksa holds a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Harvard College.

She is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist practicing at NYU Trinity Center, and is an attending physician at NYU Langone Medical Center/Tisch Hospital, where she was the first female gastroenterologist to join the faculty.
