WOFL To Unveil New Late News Format

The Orlando Fox O&O’s weekday 11-11:30 p.m. block will comprise NewsEdge 11@11 and The Fox 35 SportsZone beginning April 17.

Fox-owned WOFL Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18) is set to debut a new weeknight news format in the late news block. Effective April 17, the previously scheduled half-hour newscast at 11-11:30 p.m. will consist of two fast-paced programs — NewsEdge 11@11 and The Fox 35 SportsZone.

Anchored by Charles Billi and LuAnne Sorrell, commercial-free NewsEdge 11@11 will air weeknights from 11 to 11:11 p.m. It will provide 11 minutes of uninterrupted news and weather, reporting on the biggest stories of the day, with coverage of late-breaking news and the complete AccuWeather forecast.

The Fox 35 SportsZone will follow at 11:15 to 11:30 and will be anchored by Adam Shadoff and Evan Fitzgerald. It will bring offer highlights, debates and feature sports stories unique to Central Florida. In addition, the program will continue to air Sundays at 10:45 p.m.
