WPBF Launches Additional Hour-Long Sat. News

Beginning this Saturday, WPBF, the Hearst-owned West Palm Beach, Fla., ABC affiliate will debut an additional hour of news, WPBF 25 News at 5:00, expanding the news block to 5-6:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

Sanika Dange will anchor the newscast, along with meteorologist Taylor Grenda.

“We are very excited about expanding our weekend newscast,” said WPBF President-GM Caroline Taplett. “It’s our responsibility to serve our community with the best news and weather information across all platforms. This expansion gives our viewers even more options for their busy lives.”

WPBF produces nearly 40 hours of news per week. Along with this new program, weekend viewers will be able to watch breaking news and weather coverage during the following times: 5-7 a.m., 8 a.m., 5 p.m. (Saturdays), 6 p.m. and WPBF 11 p.m.; as well as on wpbf.com and the WPBF 25 News App.
