WPIX Names Ted Kramer Local Sales Manager

Tribune Broadcasting’s CW affiliate WPIX New York (DMA 1) has named Ted Kramer local sales manager. Kramer’s promotion is effective immediately and he will continue to report to Adam Shapiro, general sales manager.

Kramer, 36, moves up from account executive, a position he has held at the station since 2008. In his new role as LSM, he will be responsible for all sales activity in the market and will oversee the sales performance of the local account executives to ensure that sales goals are met.

Prior to his joining WPIX, Kramer was the national sales manager for WTXF Philadelphia from 2004 to 2008. He also worked as an account executive for Fox Station Sales in New York from 2001 to 2004.

Kramer has worked in broadcast advertising sales for 14 years, and began his media career at TeleRep in New York, where he was an account executive from 1997 to 2000.

Kramer holds a BA in communications from the State University of New York at Oswego.
