WPVI Philadalphia Expanding News

ABC-owned WPVI Philadelphia (DMA 4) is adding newscasts, on both WPVI and on Tribune’s MNT affiliate WPHL.

Starting Sept. 8, WPVI’s Action News at Noon grows to one hour. The move is part of a new afternoon lineup. Following Action News, The Chew remains in the same timeslot. Then at 2 p.m., it’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Jeopardy airs at 2:30, and returning to its original 3 o’clock timeslot is General Hospital. There’s more news beginning at 4 p.m.

Action News is also expanding on WPHL with Action News at 10 now a full hour with weekday anchors Brian Taff and Shirleen Allicot, meteorologist Adam Joseph and Ducis Rodgers handling local sports.

Walter Perez, meteorologist Melissa Magee, and Jeff Skversky will also continue to deliver news, weather forecasts and sports on hour-long weekend editions on WPHL.
