WPVI Philadelphia Opens New Wilmington Facility

Tuesday night, ABC O&O WPVI Philadelphia (DMA 4) commemorated the opening of its new Wilmington, Del., bureau facility. After more than 26 years, the Wilmington Action News Bureau has moved to a new location — directly across the street from the County Courthouse on 405 North King Street in a new building known as the Renaissance Center.

More than 40 guests attended last night’s reception, including Wilmington Council members Maria Cabrera and Hanifa Shabazz, plus Action News’ Brian Taff.

President and General Manager Bernie Prazenica hosted the evening. “This facility is modern, it’s beautiful and being in the heart of the city is key for newsgathering. I think this move demonstrates our commitment to covering the Wilmington area, and I hope this will be our home for many years to come.”
