WRMD Tampa Launches New Local Show

Holaciudad Teve! is 30-minute, weekly magazine with local content including community affairs, cultural and entertainment programming.

ZGS Communications’ Telemundo affiliate WRMD-CA  Tampa, Fla. (DMA 14), will premiere a new local program, Holaciudad Teve!, on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. Holaciudad Teve! is a 30-minute magazine-style show produced entirely at WRMD’s new, state-of-the-art studio.

The show is hosted by Francisco Flores and Raengel Solís. In addition to its Sunday time slot, Holaciudad Teve! will repeat on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and Fridays at 1:30 a.m. .

Holaciudad Teve! Will feature local content, including community affairs, cultural and entertainment programming.  The station says it will feature “compelling interviews, demonstrations and informative segments that will resonate with Hispanic audiences.”

Viewers play an active role in the development of the show’s content via the webpage holaciudad.com, where the audience can share their views about issues of interest to the community. Each show concludes with a musical performance by area artists.

Flores is a journalist originally from Puerto Rico who has worked in local news for both Telemundo and Univision. Solís previously hosted a television music show in her native Domincan Republic. She also participated in Univision’s reality show Nuestra Belleza Latina.

“We are really excited to add holaciudad teve! to our local programming line-up,” says Jayme Ribeiro Neto, WRMD’s GM and executive producer of Holaciudad Teve! “Telemundo Tampa has created a fun, dynamic local show that will attract audiences. Our goal is to provide the community with an informative and relevant local show,” she added.
