WTAE Ups Bofta Yimam To Weekend A.M. Anchor
Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WTAE Pittsburgh (DMA 23) has promoted Action News Investigates reporter Bofta Yimam to weekend morning anchor beginning Saturday, Jan. 30.
Bofta replaces Jackie Cain, who will anchor a new 7 p.m. newscast launching Feb. 1 on WTAE’s ThisTV subchannel.
Yimam joins meteorologist Ashley Dougherty, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 5 to 7 and 8 to 10 a.m. She will contribute on weekday mornings as a general assignment reporter.
