WTHR Adds Show With Colts Punter Pat McAfee

Dispatch Broadcast Group’s NBC affiliate WTHR Indianapolis (DMA 26), announced today that Colts Punter Pat McAfee will be joining the station for The Pat McAfee Show beginning Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

In making the announcement WTHR President-GM Larry Delia said: “Pat’s passion and enthusiasm for his team and community make him a perfect fit for our station, and we’re happy he’s chosen to make Channel 13 the new home for his show.”

McAfee will host the show on Saturday evenings with a studio audience and special guests from the NFL.

He has been a punter for the Indianapolis Colts since 2009. One of the franchise’s most popular players, McAfee recently signed a five-year, $14 million contract with the team. He holds Colts career records in kickoffs, kickoff touchbacks and kickoff yards. In addition to his career records, he ranks fourth in franchise history in punts and punting yards.

McAfee is no stranger to media. He has guest hosted the NFL Network’s NFL AM,  was a special red carpet correspondent for the 2014 ESPN ESPY Awards, and has more than 200,000 Twitter followers.
