WTVT Tampa Adds One Anchor, Promotes Another

Fox O&O WTVT Tampa, Fla. (DMA 11), has named Linda Hurtado co-anchor of the 5 p.m. and anchor of the noon newscasts. The station has also promoted Alcides Segui to weekend morning co-anchor. He will anchor alongside current solo anchor Anjuli Davis and will continue reporting weekday mornings. Both announcements go into effect Dec. 9.

Most recently, Hurtado was a news anchor and medical reporter for WTFS Tampa Bay. Previously, she worked at stations in Wilmington, N.C.; Fort Myers, Fla., and Orlando, Fla.

Hurtado received her Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Georgia.

Segui has been with WTVT since 2008. Prior to joining the station, was a reporter-anchor for WWSB Sarasota, Fla., and WAAY Huntsville, Ala. He began his career in Tallahassee as a reporter for WCTV. Segui holds a degree in journalism from Florida A&M University.
