WTXF Philadelphia Adds 2 Weekend Anchors

Fox-owned WTXF Philadelphia (DMA 4) has increased its weekend news staff by two.

Bill Anderson joins as weekend morning anchor and reporter, co-anchoring #FOX29Weekend and reporting for various weekday newscasts. His first day on the air will be Saturday, Feb. 14.

Also coming on board is Sean Bell, who has been named weekend sports anchor. He starts Feb. 2.

Most recently, Anderson was a reporter for Chasing, a Fox Television Stations daily news program that airs in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Prior to his time there, Anderson served as the morning drivetime host of Wake Up With Bill, on WURD-AM Philadelphia. Previously, he was a panelist for WTXF’s Black on Black special and briefly appears in the Jay-Z/Ron Howard documentary on the Made in America concert.  

A graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, Anderson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and business administration.

Most recently, Bell has co-hosted Got Game and served as a sports anchor and reporter for WCCB Charlotte, N.C. Prior to that, he was editor and photographer at WXII Winston-Salem, N.C.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Bell previously worked as a sports reporter for KLBK Lubbock, Texas. He had his start in broadcast journalism as a sports intern for YNN in Syracuse, N.Y.

Bell holds a master’s degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Penn State University.

I thought Keith Russell was their weekend sports guy…is he no longer with the Fox station if this Sean Bell will be doing weekends?
