WVIT Appoints New Sales Leadership Team

NBC-owned WVIT Hartford, Conn. (DMA 30), today promoted Eileen Armas to vice president of sales. For the past six years, Armas has been local sales manager. Additionally, the station has named Michelle Ryan and Hank Guerrero as co-local sales managers.

Armas joined WVIT as a sales account executive in 2006 and has taken many leadership roles overseeing Olympics, business development and digital sales, among other initiatives. She began her career first as a master control operator, then as a program coordinator, traffic manager and eventually as an account manager in Chicago at WFLD-WPWR before joining WVIT.

Ryan joins from Tribune-owned WTIC Hartford, where she most recently was digital sales director for CT1 Media, Courant.com, CTnow.com, and CT.com for the past five years. Ryan had worked with the Hartford Courant Companies since 1998 and held sales leadership positions focused on cross promotion of on-air and digital platforms.

Guerrero has been a WVIT account manager since 2009. His career as an account manager spans seven years working for WVIT and WVTM Birmingham, Ala. His resume also includes a stint as manager of interactive sales and development for Beasley Broadcasting in Miami.
