WWBT Names New Afternoon Anchor Teams
Raycom NBC affiliate WWBT Richmond, Va. (DMA 57), announced new anchor teams for its afternoon news lineup.
Curt Autry, Emmy-winning journalist and anchor, joins Sabrina Squire for 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts and Ryan Nobles adds 5:30 p.m. co-anchor to his duties.
Autry, who’s been with WWBT almost 20 years, has been the co-anchor of the 11 p.m. news since 2009. Ryan Nobles currently anchors the 4 p.m. news and co-anchors the Fox News at 10, produced by WWBT.
The change follows the retirement of Gene Cox who sat at the WWBT anchor desk for 33 years.
