WWOR Launching 10 P.M. Newscast

The New York MNT affiliate is replacing its 11 o’clock news with the new broadcast beginning June 27. Brenda Blackmon and Harry Martin remain as anchors.

Effective Monday, June 27, Fox-owned MNT affiliate WWOR New York is moving its weekday evening newscast (previously called My9 News at 11 p.m.) to 10 p.m. with a new format and new name, The 10 O’Clock News.

The half-hour broadcast will debut with a new “fast-paced” format. New and recurring segments include:

  • “Nine at 10” — As the first segment, this new portion of the newscast will contain the news of the day in nine minutes.
  •  “Take it On” — As the second segment, this issue-oriented debate features guest contributors and in-depth discussions about the day’s headlines.
  •  “The Two Minute Drill” — As the third segment, this new segment will spotlight sports and weather, giving viewers everything “they to know about sports and weather in two minutes.”

Brenda Blackmon and Harry Martin will continue to anchor the newscast, alongside Sports Anchor Russ Salzberg and Meteorologist Audrey Puente.
