WWSI Launches New Weekday News Next Week

Telemundo-owned WWSI Philadelphia (DMA 4) will introduce a new half-hour weekday newscast on Monday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m.

Iris Delgado will anchor Noticiero Telemundo62 a las 5 PM.

“We are thrilled that Iris Delgado will lead our 5 p.m. newscast,” said Ric Harris, the station’s president-GM. “We also look forward to expanding our coverage for our viewers so they can be even more connected to what is happening in their communities.”

Delgado joined WWSI in 2013 and was part of the news team that helped to launch the station’s first Spanish-language newscasts two years ago. In addition to anchoring Noticiero Telemundo62 a las 5 PM, she will continue to report for WWSI’s weekday newscasts at 6 and 11 p.m.
