WXIX Launching Half-Hour Of Weather At 4 A.M.
Raycom’s Fox affiliate WXIX Cincinnati (DMA 33) will debut Fox 19 First Weather at 4 a.m. on July 25. The half-hour weekday show will feature meteorologists Frank Marzullo and Katy Morgan.
“We were the first, and for the longest time, only ones on at 4:30 a.m., so this is a natural extension of our all-local morning show,” said WXIX President-GM Bill Lanesey. “Having two meteorologists already in place makes it an easy transition and we feel there is a strong appetite for weather first thing in the morning.”
In addition to Marzullo and Morgan, the new broadcast will feature morning anchor Rob Williams reporting news headlines.

That’s quite a step up from the days of “THE COOL GOUL” and a cupboard sized studio filled with smoke, lights and one inventive creative soul.
