WYFF Special To Focus On Domestic Violence

Hearst-owned WYFF Greenville, S.C. (DMA 37), announced that the next edition of its locally produced news magazine Chronicle will focus on the alarming rate of domestic violence in South Carolina. Chronicle: Living in Fear, will be broadcast on by the NBC affiliate on Thursday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m.

According to the station, the statistics are staggering. “One in four women in the United States will become a victim of criminal domestic violence in their lifetime. South Carolina currently ranks second nationally in the number of women killed by men.”

WYFF reporters Michael Cogdill and Mandy Gaither will share stories of the victims of violence and those who help them escape the cycle of abuse.

“Chronicle: Living in Fear is hosted by Jane Robelot. An encore presentation will be broadcast Saturday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m.
