WYFF’s Cogdill Honored With NATAS Silver Circle

Michael Cogdill, anchor at Hearst’s NBC affiliate WYFF Greenville-Spartanburg, S.x. (DMA 37), has been named to the Silver Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Southeast Chapter. The award was given in a ceremony today at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, Ga.

The Silver Circle is a society of honor that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the television industry in the Southeast Region.

“Michael is very deserving of this Silver Circle honor, “said WYFF President-GM John Soapes. “His integrity and dedication to excellence in broadcast journalism is evident every day here at WYFF 4.”

Cogdill co-anchors the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts weeknights with Carol Goldsmith. In his 26 years at WYFF, Cogdill has been the recipient of many honors including 29 Emmys and a national Edward R. Murrow award.
