Yaron Dori Named New FCBA President

Yaron Dori, co-chair of the Covington & Burling’s communications and media practice, will assume the presidency of the Federal Communications Bar Association, the nation’s largest nonprofit organization of communications lawyers and professionals.

Dori has been active in the FCBA for nearly 15 years, serving multiple terms on its executive committee and serving as a founding co-chair of its privacy and data security committee. He will serve a one-year term as president.

“Our industry is pivoting away from traditionally regulated communication services and toward new technologies,” Dori said. “This transition raises the profile of important and evolving issues that are a growing part of the FCBA’s focus, such as spectrum policy, privacy and data security, and national security and supply chain management issues.”

The FCBA has 10 chapters across the country and more than 30 committees that address a broad array of communication issues for lawyers and professionals.
