Yelverton Named Raycom Media General Counsel

Ellenann B. Yelverton today was appointed vice president, general counsel of Raycom Media.

“With a growing number of properties in our portfolio and a fast-changing industry landscape, Ellenann is the right leader for our legal team and a trusted resource for senior management, our business units, and employees,” stated Raycom Media President-CEO Pat LaPlatney.

Yelverton joined Raycom Media in 2007 to oversee litigation. Over the years, her responsibilities grew to include overseeing legal matters for First Amendment, news, marketing, sales, employment, compliance, contracts and acquisitions, leading to her promotion to general counsel.

Yelverton holds a BS in business management from Auburn University, JD from the University of Alabama School of Law, and is a graduate of the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum.
