Young To Air Live Well In Seven Markets

The lifestyle diginet adds WKRN Nashville, WBAY Green Bay, Wis.; KLFY Lafayette, La.; WLNS Lansing, Mich.; WRIC Richmond, Va., WATE Knoxville, Tenn.; and WTEN Albany, N.Y.

The Live Well Network today announced that it has signed on seven Young Broadcasting stations as affiliates, including flagship WKRN Nashville, bringing coverage of the multicast network to more than 60 markets and more than 60% of U.S. TV homes.

In addition to WKRN, the new affiliates include WBAY Green Bay, Wis.; KLFY Lafayette, La.; WLNS Lansing, Mich.; WRIC Richmond, Va., WATE Knoxville, Tenn.; and WTEN Albany, N.Y.

“The Live Well Network has experienced tremendous growth in the last year due to partners like Young Broadcasting, which shares our belief in bringing viewers engaging and entertaining programming,” said Peggy Allen, VP of programming, the Live Well Network, which is owned by ABC Owned Television Stations.

“Broadcasters are increasingly seeing the need to provide useful and inspiring content that resonates with viewers and we are happy to partner with Young Broadcasting group to deliver that programming.”

Groups other than ABC and Young airing the lifestyle network include Scripps, Belo Allbritton, Journal, Citadel, Gannett, Bonneville, Carlisle One, Bonten, Bruno-Goodworth, Great Plains TV, Lilly Broadcasting, LKK and Quincy.
