In the latest TV ratings, NBC’s Chicago Med was Wednesday’s most-watched show, while ABC’s Abbott Elementary tied Chicago Med and Fire for the nightly demo win.
NBC | Chicago Med (with 6.3 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating) and Chicago Fire (6.2 mil/0.5) were steady in the demo, while Chicago P.D. (5 mil/0.4) dipped — and all three were down a bit in audience with ABC originals now back in the mix.
ABC | The Conners (3.5 mil/0.4, TVLine reader grade “A-“) returned down a tick vs. its previous averages (3.8 mil/0.5), Not Dead Yet (2.5 mil/0.3) was more than on par with its freshman numbers (2.3 mil/0.3), and Abbott Elementary (2.8 mil/0.5, 2.7 mil/0.5, TVLine reader grade “A”) matched its sophomore numbers. Judge Steve Harvey (1.6 mil/0.2) returned down vs. its summer numbers.
FOX | I Can See Your Voice (1.5 mil/0.2) and We Are Family (1.2 mil/0.1) slipped opposite stronger competition.
THE CW | Wild Cards (500K/0.1) added a few eyeballs, Family Law (370K/0.0) was steady.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Steve Harvey is not a judge or lawyer and merely offers an alternative forum of dispute resolution.
Abbott Elementary should really open/lead the night off follow by Not Dead Yet and end with The Conners.
Super happy Not Dead Yet return steady and not lower, Gina is amazing in this role and Laren Ash is killing it in this role, she’s 100 percent the opposite of her superstore role and I love seeing that.
Totally agree because I feel like Abbott Elementary is more family friendly and deserves to be in a more family-friendly time slot.
ratings for the conners jumped last year when they moved to an earlier slot… they are also a family show. and the earlier slot is not always better… especially with spring coming and the clock moving… the 8pm shows usually suffer. it’s better in the fall
I feel like this is good news for Wild Cards? I am actually enjoying the show. it’s an easy light watch. Hopefully it gets renewed.
Glad to see your post about Wild Cards…tried it on a whim and am really enjoying it.
I dont get why more people watch Chicago fire but Abboott is the most tweeted and talked about show. Do they only keep ratings in certain (yt) peoples home?
People are really missing out by not watching Family Law on the CW. This Canadian gem is a really good show. It’s TV, so not only do the layers in the show specialize in family law matters, they have their own complicated family matters to deal with. And a handful of laughs thrown in as well.
An easy, comfortable watch.
Garrett has ruined everything about Not Dead Yet soon to be known as Dead On Arrival! What a terrific and fantastic this show was last year to a down disgrace! There’s so many actors who could have played that role and really there’s no need for it to be a contract role.
Chicago PD losing viewers is no surprise to me.
I loved the first 2 seasons of Abbott Elementary. However, I wasn’t a fan of the season 3 launch! Not the direction I want to watch.
