In the latest TV ratings, CBS’ FBI was Tuesday’s most-watched program, and it also tied for the nightly demo win.
With ABC’s Tuesday dramas in rerun mode….
CBS | FBI (with 7 million viewers and a 0.4 rating) was up 11% in audience though down a tick in the demo. FBI: International (5.3 mil/0.4) and FBI: Most Wanted (4.9 mil/0.3) were both up in audience and steady in the demo.
NBC | Night Court (3 mil/0.3), Extended Family (2.5 mil/0.2) and The Voice (4.3 mil/0.3) all were up in audience, though Extended Family dipped in the demo. Password opened Season 2 with 3.1 mil and a 0.3 — on par with its Christmas special, but down from its summer 2022 averages (4 mil/0.4).
FOX | The Cleaning Lady (1.4 mil/0.2) and Alert: MPU (1.2 mil/0.2) both lost veiwers but were steady in the demo.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless specifically denoted in bold as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. This is only an exhibition, this is not a competition. Please, no wagering.
Even if reruns, why are you not sharing ABC numbers?
So disappointing that Password is so over-acted.
Love the theme of Password but they do let the players get away with too much animation. Especially that Fallon dude.
Night Court was so good last night. Funny. With a lot of Nostalgic moments.
Fox is going to need a lot of new shows for the fall 😬
They should’ve been smarter about the shows they chose to renew last season, but they wanted to own their television lineup again – hence, The Cleaning Lady and Alert’s renewals, even with such low ratings last year – and they panicked over the strike, believing it’d be easier/cheaper to resume filming for newer shows than the older ones that were up for renegotiation and getting expensive.
Those numbers on NBC are generally considered hits. Unless you”re a Chicago watcher.
That’s kind of the point. NBC’s definition of a “hit” is skewed by One Chicago, because that’s still the highest rated group of shows on the network, even with their drop in ratings from previous seasons, and really jumps in delayed viewing. One Chicago is such a ratings juggernaut, NBC has lowered its expectations for the rest of their lineup, because they don’t really expect anything else on the network to reach that threshold.
It’s not so much that these lower rated shows are actual hits, as much as it is that there’s a much lower threshold these days on all networks for what constitutes a “hit” because of the way people watch television these days, and One Chicago is basically an outlier. Even with a drop in ratings, they still have way higher numbers than anything else on the network in a time where 3-4 mil/0.4 is considered average.
Password…just too much Jimmy Fallon..and I do like him…
I see Keke Palmer has made zero attempt to tone down her Mantan Moreland-in-drag act. Even Amos & Andy would go, “Girl, that ain’t right.” I guess they’ll give Emmys to anyone nowadays.
I don’t like the revamp on FBI international. Andre used to be the tech expert plus he had a girlfriend, where did she go? And he recovered too quickly after the attack in the first episode. Did this show get a new show runner?
I miss Jamie and Scott is barely in the show.
I actually love the revamp. FBI: International used to be the least interesting of the FBIs to me, until season 2. I only watched a few episodes in season one. It got much better last season, so I actually started watching it regularly. I never really liked Jamie/Scott’s relationship, her baggage about her sister, etc., so I don’t miss Jamie at all.
I’m loving Amanda Tate, especially in this last episode. Reins still does tech stuff, but he’s always been a field agent first. Tate isn’t really a field agent, so it makes more sense to have a dedicated intel analyst who stays back at the office, while Andre actually goes into the field. Scott is a supervisory special agent, so it’s always been a little odd to me that he’s SO in the field. It makes more sense for him to actually be acting like the leader/management. The cases are much more interesting this season. I’m excited for every episode now, and actually watch it regularly. For the first time since this show has premiere, I’m really loving the team setup they have.
The only thing I’m wary about is them returning to the Vo/Reigns thing, because I’ve never been interested in a romance there. I liked Reins’ girlfriend, and I like his friendship with Vo just the way it is. Different stroke for different folks, I guess. The show is actually must-watch tv for me now, when I barely watched it in season one, and only really got into it regularly last season.
I like most of the game show’s on prime time, but they are so dang loud. They try too hard to make people think they are having fun. I love Password, but again, tone it down. Dang gum it.
