Dessert is served: Fox has given a Season 3 order to its baking competition series “Crime Scene Kitchen,” hosted by Joel McHale. The pickup, announced by the network on Monday, also includes the return of chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp as celebrity judges. “Crime Scene Kitchen is a fun, fresh show with an entirely original mix of culinary sleuthing and brilliant baking that the whole family can enjoy,” Fox unscripted president Allison Wallach said in a statement. “Joel, Curtis and Yolanda’s irresistible chemistry have made Crime Scene Kitchen a clear fan favorite, and we’re excited to bring a new season to the table.”
Per the “culinary guessing game” logline, the show features bakers who must “decode and decipher what type of dessert was made with only crumbs, food trails and humorous hints as clues, and then teams must recreate the tasty treat, attempting to best capture its original form and flavor in order to win a $100,000 grand prize.”

“Crime Scene Kitchen” premiered in summer 2021; last year’s Season 2 averaged 2.5 million multi-platform viewers, according to the network. Season 3 will premiere later this year.
Fox Alternative Entertainment and Fly on the Wall Entertainment are the production companies behind “Crime Scene Kitchen.: Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and McHale are executive producers, while Conrad Green is showrunner and executive producer.
