Leverage: Redemption Renewed for Season 3, Makes Move to Prime Video
The con is still on! But on a new streaming home.
Leverage: Redemption has been renewed for Season 3, TVLine has learned, to premiere in 2024 on Prime Video in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The first two seasons of the heist drama streamed exclusively on Freevee, Prime Video’s ad-supported hub, and will still be available there.
TVLine hears that at this time, Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf and Aldis Hodge (once again as a recurring guest star) are confirmed to return for Season 3. Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon, the spinoff’s two additions, may also return, as “fixer” Harry and “maker” Breanna.
Additionally, Leverage creator John Rogers himself is coming on board as Season 3’s new showrunner.
“Fans have been devoted to Leverage: Redemption since the series premiered on Freevee,” Amazon MGM Studios AVOD chief Lauren Anderson said in a statement. “Every season has showcased the fun dynamic between our cast combined with the triumphant, David vs. Goliath stories envisioned by our writers. As we embark on our next chapter, we are thrilled to be able to share the show with our Prime customers and continue to offer the exclusive Leverage FAST channel to our Freevee customers.”
Executive producer Dean Devlin added, “We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our Leverage franchise in collaboration with the Amazon MGM Studios team. Our dedicated fan base will be delighted to know that they can continue to follow their favorite reformed criminals as they use their expert skills for the greater good, championing the underdog in their acts of goodwill.”
Serving as EPs alongside Rogers and Devlin are Redemption co-creator Chris Downey, Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson.

Why is Timothy Hutton not allowed to return? He was cleared of all he was accused of.
Because they killed his character off.
If i recall, the accusations were made public right before he signed for Leverage: Redemption, and he did not disclose (though he supposedly knew) them to Electric. They broke off negotiations, and Hutton sued. No idea where that suit stands today, but those were the public record accusations on both sides that surfaced when Hutton’s lawsuit happened. Sure, there is always a way to unkill a character, but there isn’t always a way to unburn a bridge that seems like, in Electric’s eye, was scorched twice

You are right he wasn’t charged, but unfortunately even if he is innocent, Devin won’t care.
I wish they would unkill him (easy to do since they are all con artists). However, I am sure there is too much bad blood there between them.
I think the two new characters are just okay. Not bad, but nothing special.

The first two seasons are not on Prime in Australia, they’re on Foxtel/Binge.
They are on nothing in Canada

Hope the move to Prime brings with it a little more money, Love the show, but going between the older episodes and these, you can tell they were operating with a very very limited budget.

I too hope they can bring S’s 1 and 2 so those of us who hate the ads can watch that way ( though honestly, the ads on this show on Freevee are not as obnoxious as on other free streamers)… maybe they’ll bring along Almost Paradise as well!!!
Use UBlock. It will not show the ads. I have Hulu ad priced level, and I never see an ad, unless I am watching on my phone.

Really? I, personally, don’t think they could have come up with a better character or person portraying her. She is adorable and hilarious!
So let me get this straight… Seasons 1 and 2 will not be moved off the ad-supported section even though the series will move away from it with season 3? Or will the seasons shift to non ad supported but be available on a Leverage themed fast channel? I really hope its the latter. I did not watch season 2 because i simply do not do ads these days. I would rather rewatch a series without commercials, even if it is something that i have already rewatched multiple times before. This is at least good news to me, as I get to watch season 3, but I truly hope they drop the ads from s1 and 2.
We watched both seasons of leverage redemption on freevee and we never had any ads. We were surprised because there were natural breaks, but never any ads.
