In the latest TV show ratings, Part 1 of NCIS: Sydney‘s Season 1 finale on CBS was Tuesday’s most-watched program, while Fox’s The Floor tied ABC’s Celebrity Jeopardy! for the night’s highest demo rating.
CBS | What was arguably NCIS: Sydney‘s very best episode to date (that reveal!!) drew a best-since-premiere audience of 5.1 million total viewers, while dipping a tenth in the demo to a 0.3 rating.
ABC | Celebrity Jeopardy! (4.4 mil/0.5) was steady. This week’s three-pack of Only Murders in the Building reruns (averaging 2.1 mil and a 0.2) was down a bit in viewers.
NBC | Night Court (3.4 mil/0.4), Extended Family (2.6 mil/0.3), La Brea (2.1 mil/0.2) and the already-renewed Found‘s freshman finale (2.3 mil/0.3, average TVLine reader grade “A-“) were all steady in the demo, though the latter three each dropped a few eyeballs.
FOX | Name That Tune (1.6 mil/0.3) was steady, while The Floor (2.7 mil/0.5) ticked up in both measures (!).
THE CW | Inside the NFL (310K) and Whose Line is It Anyway? (300) were both down in audience.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Kids, ask parents before calling.
Love NCIS: Sydney, it got gradually better towards the end of the season. Hope they get renewed with more episode count. Though I have to admit the Mackey character still hasn’t grown on me. Don’t know what’s the problem the script or the actress but she is just plain rude and obnoxious 90% of the time.
i enjoyed the segment towards the end (i believe the kiss, marry, or kill part) where she was holding both Evie & Blue, i felt she truly loved them and thought of them as her family
Really enjoying The Floor. Hope others are too and more people find it!
I love NCIS: Sydney, but I have to say this was my least favorite episode of the short first series due to one huge flaw: once they identified the “medallion” was stolen and made contact with Mackey and established that 50+ people were trapped in a bunker with under an hour of air left, why didn’t Dempsey contact the AFB, the Sidney police, harbor police, the navy – anyone! – to start a widescale search of EACH of the bunkers? It was up to DeShawn and Dempsey alone to get to the bunker and rescue everyone?
.
That was my big flaw, but there were other minor ones: The hit-woman had 50 guests to choose from but selected someone associated with the Navy (which invited special scrutiny) and didn’t think to put a do-not-disturb sign on the hotel room door to delay discovery of the body? The bunker phone still worked (!) but Dempsey didn’t try to trace the call to its source? A helicopter magically appeared to get DeShawn and Jackson across the harbor? A tech group somehow got permission to use a bunker but no on in local government knew about it to give a heads-up to NCIS?
.
OK. that’s it. Despite all that I still enjoyed it. This is a great cast and I love the Sydney locales that are a big part of the show. It’s a great start with season 1 and hopefully only gets better from here…
“NCIS: Sydney” has gotten more entertaining, even if it doesn’t always make sense (and they often go to great lengths to explain why certain events are happening in Australia). Last night’s episode was fun — although, as often happens, the secret villain was obvious from the moment they appeared.
loved last nights episode of NCIS Sydney, as someone said below, the series really did get better as it went on .. last night i was shouting at the television during several moments and the ending, which sets up the finale was good, although I kinda wish Mackey would have punched that lady in the face LOL
La Brea sort of reminds me of one of those icy patches of pavement they sometimes show on the news where the cars keep crashing into each other, but you just can’t stop watching
My DVR didn’t record Only Murders in the Building. Damn thing keeps disappearing shows the night of.
Night Court and Extended Family are not funny at all. I have seen the episodes and I can go a whole episode without a chuckle and I like comedies.
