In the latest TV ratings, NBC’s Chicago Med was the most-watched show on Wednesday, while CBS’ Survivor dominated the night in the coveted-and-delicious 18-49 age demographic.
With ABC once again in rerun mode….
CBS | Survivor hit a season high in audience (with 5.1 million total viewers) and was steady in the demo (with a 0.8 rating). The Amazing Race (2.7 mil/0.4) was steady.
NBC | Chicago Med (6.4 mil/0.5) grew in audience, Chicago Fire (6.1 mil/0.4) dipped in both measures, and Chicago P.D. (4.8 mil/0.4) dropped some eyeballs.
FOX | The Masked Singer (3.4 mil/0.4) was up in audience, leading into Animal Control and Family Guy reruns.
THE CW | Walker with its Season 4 premiere drew 485,000 total viewers and a 0.1 demo rating, hitting and matching series lows. Sight Unseen in turn debuted to 339K and a 0.1.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless specifically denoted in bold as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Steve Harvey is not a judge or lawyer and merely offers an alternative forum of dispute resolution.
Poor CW. I feel like it’ll either eventually be sold to Canada or air nothing but test patterns.*
*I’m being sarcastic but really, what was the point of Nexstar buying it when it seems like they’re just running it into the ground at this point.
They never should’ve been sold a broadcast network like this one when they never cared in the beginning about it’s scripted content slate of shows and of the audience that already was there. It’s been showing since they took over with their preference to just acquire imports from other places and doing zero promotion to what already was there. So it’s not surprising the ratings for a show like Walker that even in it’s 3rd Season was doing very big digits and not doing so lower. The CW is still without an identity since they got it bc I still don’t understand how it’s being turn into profit when they have no idea of what they’re doing and just doing cheap shows.
Yikes, the CW is dead on arrival.
Walker and Sight Unseen aired opposite TV’s top-rated entertainment program and two of TV’s most-watched dramas.
The reason Chicago Med Fire and Pd are dropping in rating. It because the good actor’s are leaving. Do to pay issues.
Oops you’re right. My bad 🙃
So Wild Cards is CW top rated show!
Last season before the buyout, The CW was my number 2 go to network. With shows like Nancy Drew, Walker: Independence, The Winchesters and Superman and Lois. Now the best show they have is WildCard which is like most police pocedruals on any given network. As for the season premiere of Walker, because I don’t watch the shows on the CW anymore, I didn’t know when it was. They say they are trying to figure who their viewers are by getting rid of the shows that their viewers actually enjoyed. Not the smartest move!
The problem is Nexstar was so consumed by the idea of getting cheap programming that it never occurred to them that their audiences may not want to watch it, no matter how much money getting these shows saved them. It’s like a company buying a store and getting rid of all the brands their customers buy for cheap overseas brands that no one wants to buy. What does it matter how much money they’re saving getting these overseas shows if most of their American audiences have little to no interest in watching them so they get bad ratings and end up being cancelled here?
My question is for all Law Enforcement shows. In real life do Officers really shout from about 20 feet away from a suspect? Seems they do on tv and the perp starts running. Why not just walk right up on the perp and deal with them?

Loved that article you wrote, Matt! This may be my favorite part (question you asked). I laughed out loud:
“Why not just mosey up like you’re asking them for directions to, like, the Hollywood Bowl? And then announce yourself.”
I have recently started to watch Chicago Meds, and I absolutely love it. Don’t like Zoe, I know in real life she would be forgiven so many times, and she doesn’t seem to think she was wrong, but above others. Perhaps time to replace her? …. I wouldn’t like to have her take care of me!
Why did they change walker to Wednesday night instead of leaving it on Thursday night
I loved WALKER on the CW. We need more episodes.
