ABC’s “The Rookie” has hit a season-best in its seven-day multiplatform viewing with Season 5, Episode 5, according to Nielsen live plus seven-day and ABC multiplatform plus seven-day numbers shared exclusively with TheWrap.

Viewing of the Nathan Fillion-starring procedural jumped up to 8.5 million viewers across a week of linear and digital platform watching, up 5.1 million from its initial average of 3.4 million viewers in live plus same-day figures. The numbers follow a steady rise for the show, which also posted its highest-rated telecast for its Oct. 16 episode, which saw a two-part crossover with the Niecy Nash-starring spinoff “The Rookie: Feds.” In live plus seven-day numbers, “The Rookie” emerged as the No. 1 show in the 10 p.m. slot among the demo, picking up a 412% increase in ratings. That week, it also tied its biggest delayed-viewing lift with an additional 5.2 million watchers.

The series also stars Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune and Tru Valentino as Aaron Thorsen.

Alexi Hawley is writer and executive producer. Mark Gordon, Michelle Chapman, Jon Steinberg, Bill Norcross, Bill Roe, Brynn Malone and Fillion executive produce.
