Netflix’s Virgin River with the release of Season 5 returned to the top of Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals.
For the week of Sept. 4, Virgin River racked up 1.9 billion minutes viewed across 52 total episodes. Netflix’s One Piece in turn dipped to No. 2, with 1.4 billion minutes viewed/eight episodes, followed by Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time (up one spot with 515 million minutes viewed/12 available episodes), Netflix’s Dear Child (504 million minutes/six episodes) and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (470 million minutes/26 available episodes).
Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of Sept. 4 were Netflix’s Who Is Erin Carter? (465 million minutes viewed/seven episodes), Disney+’s Ahsoka (down two spots with 459 million minutes/four available episodes), Paramount+’s yet-to-be-renewed Special Ops: Lioness (up two spots with 342 million minutes/eight episodes), Hulu’s Futurama (313 million minutes/142 episodes) and Netflix’s Disenchantment (298 million minutes/50 episodes).
Meanwhile on Nielsen’s overall streaming chart (which included movies, acquired series and what not), you guessed it — by remaining on top yet again, Suits set a new record for most weeks (12) in that No. 1 spot, besting the record previously held by Netflix’s Ozark (whose 11 weeks were not even consecutive).

I really enjoyed Special Ops: Lioness.
There must be a mistake bc this show went belly up this season I mean really I’m paying this outrageous amount for October and all Netflix has is this SH*T!!!!
Someone find Mark bring him back to live Dr Rolf style those DAYS fans know what I mean and PLEASE FIND THE BIGGEST LOST ISLAND YOU CAN AND PUT JACK THERE! I’M SO TIRED OF HEARING THE NAME NOT JUST FROM MEL BUT IT’S FROM EVERYONE I THINK IT SHOULD BE CALLED JACK’S RIVER YOU KNOW LIKE GILLIGAN’S ISLAND!
I will watch pt 2 if the writers can promise Jack will die! This way the other characters will have something to do besides asking Jack!
Suits is much better than current TV now. The show is unrealistic and at time caricatural and has some significant fails – top women have no fails Jessica, Donna and that makes them less interesting than the 3 top men Harvey, Louis, Mike – still there is conflict, changing alliances, dialogue can be pretty good.
The execution is also top notch.
