TORONTO – CNN anchor Larry King will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 33rd Banff World Media Festival in June.
The Canadian TV festival will also host appearances by Steve Hannah, president and CEO of The Onion, and Mike Fleiss, creator of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
“It is a wonderful moment to reflect on my career in broadcast and to share it with others making an impact on the industry today,” King, the long-time host of CNN’s Larry King Live primetime talker, said on news of his Banff tribute.
The Banff lifetime achievement award last year went to veteran actor Ed Asner, and the 2010 tribute was given to William Shatner.
The Banff World Media Festival is set to run from June 10 to 13 in the Canadian Rockies.
