Former NBC 10 personality Sheila Martines Pina was found dead Wednesday in her Dartmouth home, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said.

Martines Pina hosted "PM Magazine" with Matt Lauer, Mark Wile, Sprague Theobald and Rick Smith on NBC 10 in the 1980s. She was also a former director of the Bristol County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Martines Pina was 58, and her death was ruled an unattended death. Officials said it was not suspicious.

She was married to former Bristol County District Attorney Ron Pina. The state medical examiner will do an autopsy.

Pina's struggles with substance abuse received public attention.

In a 1988 interview, Martines Pina admitted her difficulties with alcohol abuse and outlined her goal of overcoming them.

An incident that year was never fully explained. She was found inside the trunk of her car in a wooded area of Dighton. She claimed she was abducted, but no arrests were ever made.

Martines Pina disappeared for about week in 2002, and in 2007 she was ordered back to jail for violating probation on drunken driving charges.
