HBO has announced its fall slate of new and returning series. Boardwalk Empire, which just earned 18 Emmy nominations, starts its sophomore season on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. with 12 episodes.

On Oct. 2, Hung returns for its third season at 10 p.m. with 10 episodes. It’s followed by Season 2 of How to Make it in America at 10:30 p.m., which will run for eight episodes.
Bored to Death, starring Jason Schwartzman, premieres its third season on Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. with another eight episodes. It’s followed by the series premiere of Enlightened, which stars Laura Dern as a self-destructive woman who’s putting her life back together, at 9:30 p.m. with 10 episodes.
Also, during an executive session with HBO’s Co-President Richard Pepler and HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Los Angeles, it was announced that Luck, its upcoming horse racing series starring Dustin Hoffman, will premiere in January at Big Love’s former time slot.
