Jimmy Kimmel Ends Feud With Hannity, Issues Apology to Melania Trump
Jimmy Kimmel is embracing the “love trumps hate” motto, calling for an end to his feud with Fox News’ Sean Hannity after a lengthy back-and-forth on social media.
The war of words began after Hannity referred to the ABC talk show host as a “despicable disgrace” and an “ass clown” for making fun of First Lady Melania Trump‘s accent. Kimmel in turn fired back at Hannity, calling him the entire “ass clown circus” during his Thursday night monologue. He also suggested that Hannity was a hypocrite, and if he really wanted to be mad at someone, it should be President Trump for disrespecting FLOTUS by having an alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels.
The hosts continued sparring on Twitter well into Friday afternoon, with Hannity promising to “expose” Kimmel as a “the pig, pervert and racist you are.” Kimmel seemed to get a kick out of the whole thing, but has since changed his tune. After reportedly receiving hate-filled tweets aimed at his wife and infant son, the late-night emcee issued a statement on Sunday to say that enough’s enough. The letter doubled as an apology to both FLOTUS and for offending members of the LGBT community with a joke aimed at Hannity about his close relationship to POTUS:

Comparing Kimmel to Harvey Weinstein, a serial sexual assaulter? What?! Crazy. As Many times as @FLOTUS Michelle Obama was called a monkey & not one person from the left ran to her defense. JIMMY had no reason at all to say sorry. Trump doesn’t say sorry for anything & he is the President of the United States. So why should anyone else have to apologize to him or his family.
Kimmel proves to be the bigger man. It was a harmless joke with no meaness, gentle teasing at most. But you didn’t see Hannity condemning Trump* for having multiple affairs while Melania was pregnant or just after she gave birth. But teasing her about her accent…..well, that just went over the line. Expect Sean to crow he won on Monday.

The fact that Hannity went bat crazy over Kimmel comic routine is ironic since the fact that he and Fox news attacked Michelle Obama on a daily basis. Seriously apologize to Melania over pointing out her accent, which she does have. Well maybe she ought to apologize to Obama on the birther conspiracy she pushed along with her husband. I give Jimmy credit for ending this stupid feud, but seriously Hannity isn’t worth the time or effort he is what people scrap off their shoes when you go to the horse barn.

It did. Kimmel was attacking an immigrant on her accent and making gay panic jokes. Hannity was riding at the height of hypocrisy for a network that tore Obama down for eating Dijon, saluting with a cup of coffee on his hands and wearing tan suits.

ABC is getting really good at apologizing when Trump and his supporters get their feelings hurt, yet they are silent when “Roseanne” insults two of their most diverse series and prevents “Black-ish” from airing an episode that would have discussed athletes kneeling during the anthem. He was apologizing for making homophobic comments, which many people found offensive. He was also apologizing to stop Hannity from dredging up all his past which really kind of made him look like a perv racist hypocrite. .
Okay, I don’t care about this argument one way or the other. I’m not a particularly huge fan of either of these people. That said, we need to stop pretending that this was an attempt to end the fight, or be the bigger man. It wasn’t an apology, or anything of the sort. It was an attempt to set up Hannity so that if he replied with anything less than a metaphorical handshake to end the argument, it would be Hannity who would look petty. Up until this point, Kimmel has looked horrible, and this was an attempt to change that, while not really changing that.

Just a Canadian observation….we think this presidency is an absolute joke. Canadians love Obama! We cringe and feel embarrassed for the wonderful people of United States pretty much everytime this so called President opens his mouth.
