Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly won’t be getting much sleep the night before July 10. The duo will be on hand in North Hollywood to announce the 2014 Emmy nominations at 5:40 a.m.
The Television Academy announced formal plans for nomination morning on Wednesday, also unveiling new key art for the 66th annual TV kudos.

“Our key art is a departure from the previous decade in which the Emmy statuette only appeared in profile or three-quarter view,” said Academy creative director Scott Buford. “This year, Emmy is shown in a forward-facing position that is elegant, powerful and triumphant. The cobalt blue and violet aurora swirling around her draws all attention to the gleaming Emmy in a dynamic, aspirational pose.”
This year’s telecast, airing Monday, Aug. 25, on NBC, will be hosted by Seth Meyers.
Both Kaling and Daly are on the NBC payroll. Kaling’s The Mindy Project is produced by NBCUniversal and Daly serves as host of The Voice and Last Call With Carson Daly.
