Industry vet Mike Napodano has been hired as chief technology officer for Disney|ABC Television Group.
In his new role, Napodano will oversee the DATG’s long-term technology vision and implementation. He also will be responsible for media operations and distribution, network operations and engineering, IT strategy and operations, and an integrated, enterprise-wide consumer data platform. He also will supervise the design and management of an enterprise-wide data platform for leveraging consumer data and driving business insights. Napodano will report to Bruce Rosenblum, president of business operations.

Napodano joins Disney|ABC from Channel Media Solutions, where he served as president and co-managing partner. Prior to joining CMS, he spent 13 years at NBCUniversal, serving in numerous roles including as chief information officer. In addition, Napodano led the enterprise-wide data and analytics center of excellence, and he oversaw the delivery of the Commercial Innovation program for NBCUniversal, which was more than five-year transformation of NBCU’s ad sales technology landscape. Before that, he held technology positions at U.S. Wireless Data and at Phoenix Investment Partners.
