NBC has greenlight six episodes of a live courtroom drama from Dick WolfVariety has learned. The project, which was sold to the network in May, also features a new title: “Law & Order: You the Jury.”

Previously titled “You the Jury,” the project, which lets audience decide the verdict on real-life civil cases, now includes “Law & Order” brand recognition, indicating the network’s hope to lure in viewers from the successful, long-running franchise. The title change does not refer to any direct correlation to “SVU,” insiders say, as the courtroom series is reality-based.

“Law & Order: You the Jury” marks Wolf’s fifth series on The Peacock’s upcoming slate, though no premiere date for the courtroom show has been set yet. In addition to “You the Jury,” Wolf has “Law & Order: SVU,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and the upcoming “Chicago Med” at NBC.

The series hails from Wolf and Wolf Reality’s Tom Thayer, plus Magical Elves’ Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz. The creative team previously worked together on TNT’s “Cold Justice” and its spinoff “Cold Justice Sex Crimes.”
