OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has promoted Maitee Cueva to SVP Programming and Development, up from her previous VP role. In her new position, Cueva will oversee programming and development for the network’s Saturday night programming as well as other content development initiatives.
“As we celebrate Maitee’s fifth anniversary at OWN, it gives us great pleasure to announce this well-deserved promotion,” said Sheri Salata, president, OWN. “Maitee is a seasoned pro with a creative eye and laser focused executorial style. Her energy and passion for non-scripted television was key to building our successful Saturday night lineup so beloved by OWN viewers.”
Cueva oversees docu-series including Raising Whitley, Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s, and the upcoming Livin’ Lozada featuring reality star Evelyn Lozada.
Cueva joined OWN in 2010, six months before the launch of the network as Executive Director of Programming and Development, rising to the VP level a short time later. Prior to joining OWN, Cueva was with MTV Networks where she worked on such series as Parental Control and Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew.
