Amy Poehler is coming back to NBC.

Along with “The Mindy Project’s” Charlie Grandy, the “Parks and Recreation” alum is behind a new comedy for the network, which handed a pilot production commitment to the project, titled “Dumb Prince.”

The half-hour laffer will follow a reluctant Crown Prince’s attempt to run the family business his way, throwing his highly publicized and dysfunctional family into chaos.

Poehler will exec produce “Dumb Prince” with Grandy and Brooke Posch of Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions and Dave Becky of 3 Arts. Grandy will serve as writer on the series.

Grandy has strong ties to NBC, as well. Other than “Mindy Project,” his credits include long-lasting writer/producer gigs on “The Office,” “Saturday Night Live,” “The Daily Show” and “Guys with Kids,” which he co-created with Jimmy Fallon. This past cycle, he created comedy “48 Hours Til Monday,” which Fox ordered to pilot.

“Dumb Prince,” first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, marks a reunion for Poehler and Grandy, who worked on “SNL’s” Weekend Update when Poehler was on the show.
